Spike and Serve is proud to have on staff some of the best coaches the islands has to offer. Our roster includes All-Americans, Olympians, local and international volleyball athletes who give back to the community by teaching your keiki. These exceptional people provide mentoring, role modeling and experienced, positive leadership.
Coach Joe is a Kamehameha grad and University of Utah alum. He has extensive coaching experience and specializes in defense, passing and setting. He is also a coach for SASVBC. His team won silver at the 2014 GJNC.
Coach Kevin is a Punahou grad and UCLA
All American. He represented the USA in the Sydney Olympics and has been coached by and played with some of the best athletes and coaches in the world. In 2001 he was ranked #1. He is the recipient of the USA Volleyball Service Award Committee's prestigious Outstanding Male Coach award for 2014.
Coach Rick is a Punahou grad and University of Hawaii and Pepperdine alum. He is the boy's varsity coach at a local high school and has well over 15 years of coaching experience. He has coached teams that have won state and national championships.
Coach Josh has coached for Spike and Serve since our programs began. An amazing athlete & coach, he will be competing professionally in Finland this upcoming season. His specializes in outside hitting and defense. A former UH Warrior, All American, and has "hops" like no other, hence his nickname, "Skywalker."
Coach Kainoa is a Roosevelt grad and played for UH. He has extensive coaching experience and specializes in defense, passing, and overall knowledge of the sport.
Coach Pua is a Rutgers University alum who is a coach and counselor at a local high school. She specializes in setting and all around skills. She is also a coach for SASVBC.
Coach Kim is a girls JV coach at a local high school and has over 10 years of coaching experience. She is also a coach for SASVBC. Her team won bronze at the 2014 GJNC.
Coach Puna is a USC alum and is the assistant JV coach at a local high school. She has over 10 years of coaching experience with various clubs and schools on Oahu and is also a coach for SASVBC. She specializes in hitting, passing and brings knowledge of the overall game.
Coach Lynden was a setter at University of LaVerne and brings 17 years of Jr’s club coaching experience to SASVBC. He specializes in the mental aspect of controlling the game and is an active recruiter for dozens of women's college programs. He is also a USAV HP Coach.
